Job Title: Floral Transporter
Location: Asheville, NC & Hendersonville, NC
Terms: Part-Time, 8 hours per week, temporary until November 2026
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 1-4 p.m.
Compensation: $18 per hour depending on experience

About Carolina Flowers
Carolina Flowers is a florist and 30-acre flower farm serving Asheville, NC, and beyond. We create designs for weddings and events throughout Western North Carolina, Charlotte and Greenville, and we create daily flower deliveries for our Asheville customers. We operate from our retail storefront on Haywood Road in West Asheville, AND our studio and flower farm in Hendersonville.
This position would use one of our company vans to move flowers from our Hendersonville farm to our Asheville store.
Carolina Flowers is in an exciting period of growth and expansion, and we hope to find a Floral Assistant who is excited to learn about local flowers and open-minded about possibilities of growing with the company.
This is a temporary position running until November 2026. However, we will be filling a permanent version of this role in March 2026 with the possibility of part-time or full-time hours.
Job Description
The Floral Transporter role is a great way to develop your interest in flowers and learn the basics of the business.
This entry-level role will encompass transfer flowers from our Hendersonville farm to our West Asheville store in one of our vans.
Consider this job a feeder track for other roles within the company. An excellent Transporter could come on for a larger role in March 2027.
The Floral Transporter will work with the Studio Manager and Floral Designers to get the right flowers to the right location at the right time.
The Transporter ensures our customers are getting the freshest possible flowers.
Tasks will include loading buckets, locating flowers, recognizing flower varieties by name, driver a van between our locations and loading and unloading coolers using an organization system.
Event work is physical in nature, so you must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
You will drive one of our vehicles each shift. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
