Tulips for Farmers Workshop, April 9, 10 a.m. - noon

This workshop is aimed at small farmers and others with an interest in growing tulips for production. Gardeners are also welcome, although we'll be orienting the conversation towards production of thousands of tulips.

On Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to noon, you'll experience our studio, farm and flower shop!

Here's What You'll Receive

  • Behind-the-scenes access to our flower studio in a historic bank building in cute downtown Marshall
  • Instructions for sourcing and growing tulips at production scale
  • An opportunity to ask us anything
  • A small-group tour of our tulip production area and other parts of the farm
  • 10 percent off our flower shop
  • A chance to connect with like-minded folks

We will NOT pick flowers during this workshop, but we will do a harvest demo, and you'll have the chance to get your hands dirty!

We'll meet up at our flower shop in quaint downtown Marshall and caravan to the flower farm, about 8 minutes away. We will tour the tulip production area, and we'll give you an overview of our production process.

Tulips will be the star of the farm, but you will see ranunculus, anemones and many,  many other plants waking up from their winter slumber.

Depending on the interests of the group, we may venture to other production areas to look at tools, equipment, etc.

In the interest of spending most of our time at the farm, we will depart from the farm at the end of the workshop.

Here's an approximate schedule:

  • 10 a.m. Meet at the flower shop, introductions
  • 10:15 a.m. Overview of our fall planting process
  • 10:40 a.m. Arrive at the farm and tour the tulip production area, discuss harvest and sales
  • 11:15 a.m. Broader farm tour
  • 11:45 a.m. Q & A for any unresolved questions
  • Noon Workshop ends
