New! Sculptural Wreath Making

Have you already taken a wreath workshop? Or maybe you have great craft skills and want to go beyond the basics. We have a new class for you!

Our Sculptural Wreath Making class will teach unique shapes, custom designs, larger work and more. The student below made the letter P! You’ll have lots of personal attention in a group of just 8 people (my favorite size!)

This class will happen Saturday, November 2, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The Rationale Behind Our Release Date

Survey says, you’re ready for fall.

Actually, Starbucks’ market research says you’re ready for fall. The coffee shop releases the Pumpkin Spice Latte at the end of August each year. Although I am not a fan — I prefer savory over sweet and I don’t drink coffee — I do think they must have spent a bunch of money figuring out that late August is when consumers are ready for fall.

So what’s the Pumpkin Spice Latte of the flower world? Our Dried Flower Wreath Workshops, of course!

I love that y’all get excited about these experiences and book out the classes weeks and months in advance. It’s so cool to have families return year after year. Even though the wreaths last more than one year if they’re stored inside, folks want to come back and make another for a second spot or a gift — or just because it’s fun!

I begin each workshop with a talk and a demo to teach you to make the wreaths, and then we turn you loose in our studio! You’ll select your materials from a big array of dried flowers (see the photo above), and each wreath will be different. You can use fresh greenery for a very holiday look, or you can use just dried flowers for a look that’s more year-round. We call the dried-flower-only wreaths everlasting since there aren’t greens to fade!

I’m also so excited about our new class this year, Sculptural Wreath Making. In a small group of 8 people, you’ll be able to get creative and make something larger or different than in our primary class.

Tickets go on sale a Tuesday, August 27, at 8:30 a.m.

If you’re an alumni, you should have already received access to the tickets! Let me know if not.

Can’t wait to see you all during the cozy season. Let’s create beauty together!
