About Carolina Flowers

Carolina Flowers is a florist and 30-acre flower farm serving Asheville, NC, and beyond. We create designs for weddings and events throughout Western North Carolina, Charlotte and Greenville, and we create daily flower deliveries for our Asheville customers. We operate from our retail storefront on Haywood Road in West Asheville, and our studio and flower farm in Hendersonville.

This position works on the farm and in the production studio in Hendersonville.

Carolina Flowers is in an exciting period of growth and expansion, and we hope to find an Inventory Coordinator who is excited to work with flowers.

Job Description

The Inventory Coordinator counts flowers, processes flowers, stores flowers in the proper location, collects and enters crop data, and processes dried flowers. This role works throughout the company, sometimes outside, sometimes in cooler/warehouse conditions and sometimes in the office.

The Inventory Coordinator helps flowers move through the company. On a typical day, the Inventory Coordinator  might receive and store harvest from the farmers, pick orders for the production studio and flower shop (sorting orders for each location), enter harvest data, take a forecasting walk around the farm, liaise with marketing staff about flowers coming into bloom, select flowers for drying, process and dry flowers, remove dried flowers from the racks and label/sort them for storage. This dynamic role works throughout the company and with all departments to ensure the right flowers arrive at the right place at the right time. The Inventory Coordinator also assesses quality and supply chain management.

The Inventory Coordinator may drive flowers from Hendersonville to Asheville on occasion in a company vehicle.

We have a shop dog named Huey at the Hendersonville location. He's small. You must be OK with a dog at work. (No additional dogs are permitted at the studio.)
