Meet the Owners of Carolina Flowers

At Carolina Flowers, we know big dreams require big cooperation. We're on a mission to grow premium blooms, connect our clients with nature and rebuild the American flower industry with integrity!

Founded by Emily Patrick in 2016, Carolina Flowers now boasts an ownership team of three! Studio Manager Sophia Short and Farm Manager Melissa Wickham joined the ownership roster in 2025.

We have big dreams for Carolina Flowers, and they require more than one person can accomplish.

A larger ownership team also creates a better client experience. Each step of our flowers' life gets lots of attention and oversight so we can bring you the most beautiful flowers you have ever seen!

Farm Manager Melissa joined Carolina Flowers in 2020 after leading several diversified vegetable farms. Over the years, she has become an expert in flowers with a creative vision for building systems and high quality harvest standards. She leads our farm team year round and lives at the farm.

Studio Manager Sophia joined Carolina Flowers in 2022 after working at farms throughout the United States, including Hawaii, and creating event florals in Breckenridge, Colorado. Her versatile design philosophy spans classic elegance to modern and eclectic styles, with a special love for garden-style arrangements that showcase seasonal blooms.

Together, we are unified in our vision of a flower company that connects people to nature through the beauty of our blooms. We are building a company with kindness and high standards of quality to create a wholesome place for professionals to practice their crafts at the highest level, whether they’re florists or farmers.
